The ACSE has always been committed to other industry organizations and has tried to support their events by its participation and contribution. Not only to develop new collaborations and partnerships, ACSE also strived to update its key representatives to have new insights and ideas which can be further implemented in Asian scholarly industry.
In luie of this philosophy, The ACSE participated at the Eighth Peer Review Congress in Chicago, USA and sent its representative, Nida Mohsin, Manager Industry Relations, to the congress venue. Out of the many positive and new learnings for the council, there were some key ACSE Meet Ups with its collaborators at this Peer Review Congress. Nida met with Alice meadows and Rick Anderson from SSP and discussed about the possible new initiatives in the collaboration between both organizations. To discuss and refresh up the collaboration of ACSE with EASE, Nida also met with Ana Murasic, President EASE and conversed how both organizations can work together. Last but not the least, Ana Graucai from ISMPP and Nida’s Meet Up discussion opened some new avenues of collaboration of both organizations. Other than these meetings, Nida also found the opportunity to converse with some of the industry colleagues including Donald from Editage, Lauren from BMJ and Caroline from Jama Network where conversations were done on how ACSE can support their ongoing work on serving the publishing Industry and also on how ACSE can get the maximum industry support for its members. Overall, the congress proved a great networking and learning place for its participants.
