Adesike Oladoyin Olayinka is a distinguished academic staff member of the Department of Crop Production and Soil Science in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. She holds degrees in Agronomy (B.Tech, First Class Division) from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria, Agronomy (M.Sc., Crop Science) from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, and Plant Breeding (Ph.D., Plant Breeding) from the University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana.
As an Associate Professor, Adesike is deeply committed to both teaching and research endeavours. She plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic journey of undergraduate and graduate students, offering courses in plant genetics, quantitative genetics, advanced plant breeding, agricultural biometry, and field experimentation. Additionally, she holds the vital role of the postgraduate secretary within her Department. She supervises student research projects and oversees examination results processing at the Faculty level.
Adesike is a distinguished Class V member of the Africa Plant Breeding Academy at the University of California, Davis, and an African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) Fellow Mentee. She is registered member of African Plant Breeders Association, Nigerian Plant Breeders Association and Agricultural Society of Nigeria.
