Adam Day is the CEO and Founder of Clear Skies, the company behind the Papermill Alarm, the publishing industry’s leading papermill detection service. Launched in 2021, the Papermill Alarm was the first service dedicated to identifying papermill activity and is now integrated with STM’s Integrity Hub. Under Adam’s leadership, Clear Skies won the 2024 ALPSP Award for Innovation in Publishing and has been featured in Nature, Science, and The Wall Street Journal for its pioneering work in safeguarding research integrity.

With over 15 years of editorial and data science experience, Adam previously held roles at SAGE Publishing and IOP Publishing, where he worked on large-scale misconduct detection, peer review innovations, and high-impact editorial projects, including collaborations with Nobel Laureate Kip Thorne. He also writes a popular blog on Medium under the handle @clearskiesadam, sharing insights on research integrity, data science, and publishing innovation.
