The Journal Development Program (JDP) is an ACSE initiative designed to support scholarly journals in strengthening their editorial and publishing practices. Through practical guidance, capacity building, and access to relevant resources, the program helps journals address development needs and build stronger foundations for sustainable publishing.

JDP focuses on areas such as editorial workflows, journal management, publishing standards, discoverability, and long-term development. Support is tailored to the needs of participating journals, helping them identify priorities and take practical steps toward improving the quality and reach of their publications.
